I love donuts and crazy hair days, so this idea is extra special. Best part, the donut bun is actually really simple to make! All you need is a paper plate, a pony tail, a scrap peice of felt and you’ve got the ingredients for a cute (yummy) hair do. My favorite part? The real sprinkles on top of the donut! KIDS: Last Day of School T-Shirt
Mandy from Sugar Bee Crafts came up with the cutest last day of school “costume” for her kids! I love that he last day of school t-shirts are a wearable souvenir of each child’s school year. It’s like a yearbook, but better! She provides a free cut file that says, “X Grade Last Day of School autographs” complete with the current years for any cutting machine. You could easily recreate this idea without a cutting machine. A plain color t-shirt and these white iron letters would be perfect for a last day autograph t-shirt. I also love that Mandy had the kids tye dye t-shirts for their last day of school t-shirts!
ADULTS: End of Year Teacher Dress
Mrs. Castlebury wins best teacher award in my book! This amazing dress she is wearing was made by her 1st grade students for her to wear on the last day of school. How does she do it? She brings a white, cotton dress (similar to this one) to school a few days before the end of the year and lets her students take turns drawing on the dress with fabric markers. It’s that simple!
I love the rainbow collar, the students signatures, and the plethora of hearts, flowers, and rainbows. I can only imagine how proud and excited the kids are when the see their awesome teaching wearing their art work on the last day of school.
The sock monkey, lady bugs, and heart balloon… this is the sweetest dress I’ve ever seen.
Clearly, the love in this classroom is mutual! Mrs. Castlebury, thank you for being amazing!
