GROUPS: Handmade Toy Story Costumes

Valerie from Occasionally Crafty crafted up some really awesome handmade Toy Story costumes for Halloween. Jessie, the cowgirl, started as a plain white button down. Valerie sewed on the fancy details  yellow bib, large round buttons, and fancy cuffs. Of course, Jessie has to have a red cowgirl hat and a long red braid! The baby potato head bib is made of broadcloth fabric with felt pieces for the face!

ADULTS: Grandpa Costume

This is one easy DIY adult Halloween costume to put together last minute. And we totally could have spruced Grandpa up a little bit. Essential costume items include crazy pants from a thrift store, belt, white t-shirt, funky hat, long socks, slippers, and pillows (for the belly)! If we did it again, we’d add glasses and a handkerchief to the jacket pocket. Oh and a cane would be awesome.

GROUP: Cops and Robbers costumes

The  DIY cops and robbers costumes could be fun for a family or a group of any size! Amy from Living Locurto turned her sweet family into cops and robbers for the night. The robbers wear all black, and one or 2 people wear  cop costumes. Easy peasy. Oh and of course you’ll need a bag of money. This is a fun prop you can toss around all night. I’d pin some felt green dollar bills and give the robbers black masks too!

GROUP: Words with Friends

My clever friends in Chicago came up with this handmade group costume! And it just so happes to be one of my favorite past times… Word with Friends! This costume is simple to make and almost free. Everyone wears black clothes, then find some old cardboard boxes and spray paint yellow, paint one letter on your yellow cardboard square. Next, attach the cardboard square to ribbon or to suspenders and start making words with your friends!
